About the Lithograph:

In the forefront of this warm and inviting home, mother, a sort of family historian, shares stories from The Family Album, creating everlasting memories for her daughter.  Outside the window is a ghost of a carriage which has just brought the first guests.  The smell of apple pie permeates the air as the guests enter the house with their gifts.

The patchwork quilt symbolizes the family unity and each square has material which represents the individual family members.  As mother weaves her magic through loving words, one imagines stepping back to when mother was a little girl and her mother gave her a hand-made heritage doll.  This starts a family tradition of passing the doll to the next generation and sharing stories of days gone by.  Granddad, his beloved dog at his feet, is witnessing the love that is being shared by mother and daughter.
