America's City of Heroes & Angels
The events of September 11, 2001 inspired me to create the painting “America’s City of Heroes & Angels.” This is a commemorative edition lithograph to honor all the heroes and the lost souls of this American tragedy.
My inspiration led me to paint a panoramic view of New York City that would provide a feeling of comfort and love. The dove, the eternal symbol of peace, is hovering over the ghosted Twin Towers. The parting of the clouds under the dove’s right wing beckons you to feel God’s presence. The angels offer a feeling of peace and comfort, and the ghosted Twin Towers are a reminder of all the precious souls lost. My heartfelt sympathy goes to all the people who have suffered from this tragedy, as well as those who continue the recovery effort. My prayer is that we, the people of the United States, will remain a beacon of freedom throughout the world. God bless America! God bless you and your loved ones!
