The Atlantic House was a landmark which graced the South Carolina coast at Folly Beach until Hugo, the storm of the Century. This art is a reminder of the fragile face of our coast and is dedicated to preserving a part of our heritage, gone in the blink of an eye.
As a lowcountry artist, I am dedicated to representing our beautiful lowcountry heritage through the experience of watercolors. The Atlantic House is an extension of that heritage. This image is a scenic portrayal that captures the special memories of time past, and it comes forth from Neptune's chest of happy moments by the sea for all to reflect upon and say, " I remember when....," as it once was before the blink of an eye.
